The delegates from SPECPOL were all obviously eager to begin their debate. The chairs in the room were turned to face the speaker, giving their all even in the beginning mock debate. The room was stern and concentrated, lead by the appropriate chair Chris George. The Saturday session began with a heated interrogation over the first resolution, debating details vital in the conflict over the South Chins Sea. Delegates from China, the United Kingdom, and others asked prepared questions to pick the proposed solution apart. The countries came together to create the best international solutions, and the debate continued throughout the second session during the day. The committee moved on to voting procedures once the resolutions were efficiently created to choose the best papers and secure each country’s position.
