Delegates of the Legal Committee debated on the subject of universal jurisdiction. For a variety of cultural perspectives, Ireland moved for more flexibility within the rules of the topic at hand. This method provided a way for multiple nations to agree upon a resolution, without having to all be bound to a specific regulation that would hinder cultural views. Sweden proposed a UN summit. This summit would annually revisit domestic and international law and would be used only for large-scale problems. These countries along with others will continue to work collectively in order to find a solution to this issue.
