The Social, Cultural, and Humanitarian Committee tackled the feminization of poverty. There were multiple super resolutions being debated in committee. The United Kingdom, the United States, and Egypt drafted a resolution proposing school reforms and welfare programs in order to bridge the gap in gender wage differences. On the other hand, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, and China wrote a resolution that proposed legislation to battle discriminatory practices and ensure employment opportunities for women. The resolution also focused on ways to battle sexism in the workforce. Sweden, Senegal, and Japan created an organization that would promote the recognition of rights of women without infringing on the sovereignty of other nations.
